Conservation

Water conservation is an integral component of the District's long-term strategy for ensuring adequate water supplies within its service area.  Conservation is a low-cost resource that assists in reducing the demand for imported water as well as reducing consumption during periods of high water demands.  The District is proud to offer the following conservation opportunities and outreach to its customers:

 Customer Incentives

Rincon offers a wide variety of conservation opportunities for businesses, public properties, agricultural operations, homeowners, HOAs, and other residents that live within our service area. Check out the current conservation incentive program descriptions and their availability.

Xeriscape Gardening

Dedicated to the community in 1996, Rincon's  xeriscape garden currently showcases the ornamental use of California native plants. California natives are perfectly suited to our climate.  Requiring low amounts of supplemental water once established, they also prove food and shelter for a variety of wildlife. Recycled Water Project

Rincon is committed to providing our customers with a secure and reliable water supply.  Recycled water, an important component of Rincon's water conservation program, will increase local supplies, and reduce our dependence on imported water. Recycled water will be available for irrigation uses while helping to protect our community from potential water shortages. As our community continues to grow, recycled water will help meet our future water supply needs.
