This contest is open to twelfth grade students living in and/or attending  school within Rincon's sphere of influence.  Each year, students are asked to submit a one-page essay about California Special Districts in order to compete for one of thirteen $1,000 scholarships.

The winners will be selected, based on essay content, grade point average, personal statement, and volunteerism.

This contest is open to fourth grade students living in and/or attending  school within Rincon's sphere of influence.  Each year, students are asked to draw a picture, appropriate to a specific theme, chosen to promote water awareness.  This year's theme, "Water is Life" encourages students to draw pictures about the importance of water for living things and ways we can conserve this precious resource. 

Hurry! The deadline for this contest is March 31, 2008.

Three winners will be selected, based on creativity, color, and relevancy.  Winning artists will receive a prize and their artwork will be featured in our 2008 calendar with 33 other students representing 11 north San Diego County water agencies.
